Message from the Top

Since our founding in 1937, Tohoku Steel was established in Miyagi with the foundation of technological developments we achieved through industry-academia collaboration with Tohoku University, a leader in metallurgical research in Japan. As a team, and with the support of our stakeholders, we have provided various forms of functional value to the automotive industry, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and other industrial machinery sectors in the field of magnetic materials and other high-performance special steels.

Today, we are taking on the challenges to create new value to build upon the history we have created as a team even further. In addition to continuing to engage in product development with our customers, we are also contributing to the SDGs through technological and product development, and collaborating with research institutions in new industries not limited to the traditional industries that we have contributed to in the past. Furthermore, in order to help enrich local communities, we are promoting our Energetic Initiatives, in which we encourage local residents and our company to work together.

Our team as a whole will work together to evolve into a leading company in advanced development that continues to anticipate and meet the increasingly diverse expectations of society. We wish to thank all of our stakeholders for their continued support and encouragement.
